Types of Installation

Nail Down

• Installation over a plywood subfloor. 
• Moisture barrier underlayment is required.
• Solid and enginered flooring can be used with this technique.

Glue Down

• Installation over clean concrete. 
• Moisture barrier underlayment is recommended.
• Cork or acoustical underlayment may be required. 
• Solid and engineered flooring can be used with this technique.

Floating

• Installation over a subfloor with no nail or glue attachments. 
• Sometimes can be installed over existing floor. 
• Requires wood floor manufactured specifically for floating. (i.e."click, interlocking, snap-together")
